Glee Recap: Season 3, Episode 11
Reblogged from kashmunnyHello Gleeks! This week’s episode of Glee was all about the King of Pop: Michael Jackson. As a big fan of MJ, I was really looking forward to this episode. I’m not going to lie; this episode wasn’t really that great to me. It was “good” but not what I expected. I still liked it though. Now onwards to the recap!
The episode begins with the New Directions gang discussing what to for sectionals and Blaine comes up with the idea of doing Michael Jackson.
Out of excitement, Blaine tells his Warbler buddies about the Glee club’s plans. Sebastian, “homewrecker” and new leader of the Warblers, decides to steal this idea. The two glee clubs take this battle to the streets and break out into the song “Bad”. After this performance, sneaky Sebastian attempts to throw a slushy in Kurt’s face but Blaine blocks his shot. It turns out that the slushy was not an ordinary slushy; it was filled with ROCK SALT! Blaine is taken to the hospital and will need surgery. Eventually, Sebastian’s evil tactic is brought into the light and the Warblers want nothing to do with him after this. The New Directions also decide to perform something different at sectionals and not use MJ.
And for all of you who ship Samcedes, I’m proud to announce that they finally KISSED!
They also did a duet. Sam and Mercedes sound awesome singing together and I’m not just saying that because they did one of my favorite MJ songs (ok, maybe I’m a little biased).
We also find out what colleges the characters get in to. Quinn gets into Yale and Kurt gets into NYADA! Rachel didn’t hear from NYADA and felt very depressed. She says if she doesn’t get into the school, then she has nothing else going for her besides Finn. This is why she says yes to Finn’s proposal. But at the end of the episode, we find out that she did in fact get into the school. Now what is she going to do!
The episode was good overall. My favorite performances were "Scream," "Human Nature," and "Smooth Criminal." I just hope next week’s episode is much better.
What performances did you like? Are you an MJ fan?
